Wood Borer Treatment

Wood borers eat their way through furniture from the inside, leaving pinholes and a fine powder that most people mistake for sawdust. Left alone, plywood shutters and teak frames lose strength within a season or two.

We treat the affected wood on site: the powder is cleared, an odourless borer solution is injected into the exit holes and the surrounding surfaces are brushed or sprayed so newly hatched grubs die before they tunnel deeper. No furniture needs to leave your home.

What the treatment includes

  • Inspection of furniture, wardrobes, door frames, panelling and false ceilings
  • Injection of borer solution into active exit holes
  • Surface treatment of unpolished and hidden wood faces
  • Guidance on what can be saved and what should be replaced
  • Written warranty with free follow-up inside the term

Frequently asked questions

Will treatment damage polish or laminate?

No. Injection is done through the existing holes and hidden faces, so the visible polish or laminate is not affected.

How many visits are needed?

One visit for most homes. Heavily infested wood is re-checked in the follow-up visit included with the warranty.
